The Bull Who Loved Orange Stars

Lily lived on a sunny farm where she played every day after school. Her favorite friend was Barnaby, a gentle brown bull with the softest nose and the kindest eyes. While other bulls slept in the shade, Barnaby loved to explore.

One hot afternoon, Lily sat under an orange tree, peeling an orange for her snack. Barnaby lumbered over and nudged her hand with his wet nose.

"You want some?" Lily giggled, holding out a slice. Barnaby's eyes twinkled as he ate it, then suddenly — POOF! — orange stars burst from his horns like tiny fireworks!

Lily gasped and pulled out her mom's old iPhone to take a picture. But when she looked through the camera, she saw something magical: the orange stars were leading somewhere!

"Follow me!" Lily whispered, grabbing Barnaby's halter. They followed the glowing orange stars past the apple orchard, through the meadow, and down to the sparkling creek where the water danced over smooth stones.

There, floating above the water, was a tiny door made of light.

Barnaby lowered his giant head. The door opened, and inside sat the smallest fairy Lily had ever seen. She held up something that sparkled like a tiny sun.

"This is the last Vitamin of Wonder," the fairy whispered. "It makes ordinary things magical. But someone took all the others!"

Lily's eyes went wide. "Who would do that?"

"The Grumpy Grouch of Grey," sighed the fairy. "He hates color and joy. Now nothing grows, and no one dreams."

Lily looked at Barnaby, who had produced more orange stars from his horns. The stars floated toward the fairy's tiny hand.

"We'll help!" Lily declared. "Barnaby can make magic stars!"

For three days and three nights, Lily and Barnaby traveled across the land. Wherever Barnaby walked, orange stars bloomed. They turned grey fields green, made frown children laugh, and painted the sky with rainbows.

Finally, they reached the Grumpy Grouch's dark tower. He scowled at them. "Go away! I like things dull and boring!"

Lily held up her iPhone and showed him a photo of Barnaby with his orange stars. "But look how happy everyone is. Don't you want to be happy too?"

The Grouch stared at the picture. Something in his grey eyes softened. He hadn't seen color in so long.

"I... I forgot," he whispered. A tear rolled down his cheek, and it sparkled like a tiny star.

The fairy appeared and gave the Grouch the Vitamin of Wonder. His frown turned into the biggest smile anyone had ever seen. He returned all the vitamins he had taken, and color rushed back into the world like a beautiful wave.

Barnaby became famous as the Magic Bull, and Lily always kept her iPhone ready to capture their adventures. They learned that the strongest magic isn't in vitamins or stars — it's in kindness, friendship, and helping others smile.

And every evening, you can still see orange stars twinkling above the farm, reminding everyone that wonder lives everywhere, even in the most unexpected places.
