The Bull Who Loved Orange Magic

Lily discovered something strange behind the old barn. An **orange** glow pulsed from beneath a tangle of vines. Curious, she pushed through the leaves and gasped.

There stood the biggest bull she'd ever seen, but he wasn't scary like the ones in storybooks. His name was Barnaby, and he was carefully arranging **spinach** leaves in a perfect circle around a glowing orange orb that floated in the air.

"You found my secret garden," Barnaby said softly. His voice sounded like warm honey.

Lily stepped closer, amazed. The bull wore a sparkly **padel** around his neck like a medal. "What's that for?"

"It's magical," Barnaby explained. "Once a year, the Great Orange Game brings together all the creatures of the valley. We play padel together, and whoever loses must grow spinach for the winner. But I've never won."

His big brown eyes looked sad. "Everyone expects a bull to be fierce and strong. But I love growing things more than fighting."

Lily's heart swelled. "I could teach you! My sister plays padel, and I've watched her practice."

Every day that summer, Lily and Barnaby practiced. The bull learned to move gracefully despite his size, and Lily discovered she was actually quite good at the game. They laughed until their sides hurt, and Barnaby's spinach garden grew more beautiful than ever.

On the day of the Great Orange Game, animals gathered from everywhere—rabbits, foxes, even a family of raccoons. When Barnaby stepped onto the court with his magical padel, some animals giggled. But then he served.

The ball sailed through the air in a perfect arc, landing exactly where he intended. The animals went quiet. Barnaby played with heart, not force, and Lily cheered from the sidelines.

He didn't win first place, but he didn't come in last either. And when the game ended, something magical happened—all the animals, even the champions, asked Barnaby for spinach-growing tips.

"You don't have to be fierce to be strong," Barnaby told Lily later, his orange trophy shining in the sunset. "Sometimes the bravest thing you can do is be yourself."

Lily hugged her friend's giant leg. She'd learned something too: true friends help you shine in your own special way.
