The Bull Who Loved Green Lightning
On Sunnybrook Farm, there lived a bull named Barnaby who was very different from the other bulls. While his friends spent their days practicing how to look tough and strong, Barnaby had a secret — he loved vegetables. Most of all, he loved spinach.
Every afternoon, when Farmer Jane wasn't looking, Barnaby would sneak to the garden and munch on the crispy green leaves. The other bulls laughed at him. "Real bulls eat grain and hay!" they snorted. "Spinach is for rabbits!" Barnaby just kept eating his favorite snack, feeling strong and happy.
One stormy evening, as Barnaby was enjoying his dinner in the garden, something magical happened. A bolt of lightning flashed across the dark sky and struck directly into the patch of spinach where Barnaby was eating!
But Barnaby wasn't hurt. Instead, he felt a tingle run through his whole body. His fur began to glow with a soft green light. His eyes sparkled like emeralds. The lightning had combined with the magical spinach to give him an incredible gift.
Barnaby discovered he could now create beautiful green lightning from his horns! It wasn't scary or dangerous — it was warm and gentle, like sunshine wrapped in a hug.
That night, a terrible thing happened. A little fox named Pip was lost in the woods, and a big storm was coming. The other animals were too scared to help. But Barnaby knew what to do.
He followed the fox's frightened cries into the dark forest. When he found Pip shivering under a bush, Barnaby used his special green lightning to light up the whole forest. The gentle glow guided them safely home, and it kept them warm on the way back.
From that day on, nobody laughed at Barnaby for loving spinach. The other bulls realized that being different wasn't bad at all — sometimes, the things that make us unique are exactly what make us special.
And Barnaby? He continued eating his spinach every day, sharing his warm green light with anyone who needed help, proving that kindness is the greatest power of all.
