The Bull Who Loved Green Hair
Mia had the most unusual hair in her whole school. Every time she ate her grandmother's magical spinach from the garden, her dark curls would turn a brilliant, shimmering green. The other children didn't understand, but Mia knew it was something special.
One afternoon, while munching on the freshest spinach leaves, Mia heard a gentle snorting from behind the old oak tree. Curious, she peeked around the trunk and gasped. There stood the most magnificent bull she had ever seen, with fur that sparkled like starlight and horns that curved like crescent moons.
"I've been waiting for someone with green hair," the bull said softly. Mia almost dropped her spinach. "You can talk?"
"Only to those who've eaten the magic spinach," the bull explained. "My name is Barnaby, and I guard the secret garden behind your grandmother's house. But I've lost something very important."
Mia's green curls bounced as she nodded eagerly. "I'll help you find it!"
Barnaby led her through a hidden gate in the garden fence. Beyond lay a meadow filled with flowers that changed colors when you walked past them. But in the center, something was wrong – the Rainbow Fountain had stopped flowing.
"My golden hair ribbon fell in the fountain while I was drinking," Barnaby said sadly. "Without it, the fountain can't make rainbows for the children's dreams."
Mia knelt by the fountain. Her green hair glowed brighter as she reached into the sparkling water. She felt something silky and pulled out a golden ribbon that shimmered with all the colors of the rainbow.
"Thank you!" Barnaby cheered. The moment he tied the ribbon around his magnificent horns, the fountain burst into flowing rainbows that arched across the sky. "You're a true friend, Mia."
"But my hair will turn back to brown tomorrow," Mia said.
Barnaby smiled. "The magic stays in your heart. That's what matters."
That night, Mia dreamed of rainbows. And though her hair was dark again in the morning, she knew that kindness and bravery were the truest magic of all. Now, every time she ate spinach, she would smile, remembering her friend Barnaby and the day they saved the rainbows.
