The Bull Who Lost His Stars

Leo loved the old palm tree at the edge of his garden. Every night before bed, he would press his palm against its rough bark and whisper, "Goodnight, friend."

One warm summer evening, something extraordinary happened. A streak of light shot across the sky and landed right behind the palm tree with a soft *thump*.

Leo tiptoed outside in his pajamas. Behind the palm tree sat a small, glowing bull made entirely of stars. Its horns twinkled like diamond dust, and its hooves left sparkly footprints on the grass.

The bull looked sad. "I fell from the sky," it mooed in a voice that sounded like wind chimes. "I was running across the Milky Way when I tripped on a comet. Now I can't get back home."

"Don't worry," Leo said bravely. "I'll help you."

But how? The palm tree swayed in the breeze, dropping a golden coconut at Leo's feet. When he cracked it open, inside wasn't coconut milk—it was pure, liquid starlight.

"The stars gave you a gift," the bull said, its eyes wide with wonder. "If I drink this, I'll have enough magic to fly home!"

The bull drank the starlight, and its glow grew brighter and brighter. "Thank you, Leo. You're the best friend a star bull could ever ask for."

"Wait!" Leo cried. "Will I ever see you again?"

The bull smiled. "Look up tonight. I'll be the brightest star, running across the sky, watching over you."

With a joyful *whoosh*, the bull shot upward, trailing sparkles like a comet. Leo watched until it disappeared among the stars.

That night, Leo pressed his palm against the palm tree one last time and whispered, "Thank you, friend." He knew that true friends are never far away—even if one lives in the sky and the other stays on the ground, their hearts can still shine together.

From then on, whenever Leo saw the brightest star running across the night sky, he waved. And somewhere up there, a star bull waved back.
