The Bull Who Lost His Sky

Lily was a curious girl who loved to spy on the magical world that appeared in her garden every night. While other children slept, she would press her nose against the window, watching fireflies dance like tiny lanterns and listening to flowers whisper their goodnight songs.

One moonlit evening, Lily noticed something extraordinary. A magnificent creature had stumbled into her garden—a bull made of stardust and silver light, with horns that glowed like crescent moons and eyes holding the wisdom of ancient constellations. But this star bull was tangled in an old telephone cable snaking through the grass, his magical light growing dimmer with every moment.

Lily rushed outside, her heart pounding. "Don't be afraid," she whispered, approaching the gentle creature. The bull looked at her with grateful eyes as she carefully unwrapped the cable from his legs. As each loop fell free, his light grew stronger and brighter.

"Thank you, little friend," the bull spoke in a voice like wind chimes. "I am Taurus, keeper of the Spring Constellation. I slipped from the sky while chasing a comet." He nudged Lily's hand with his soft, starry nose. "You have a kind heart. Would you like to see where I live?"

Lily nodded, her eyes wide with wonder. Taurus lowered his head, and suddenly the old cable began to shimmer, transforming into a sparkling bridge of light that stretched to the stars. "Hold onto my fur," he said gently.

Together they climbed the cable bridge past clouds and moonbeams until they reached a place where stars glowed like silver coins. Taurus showed Lily the cosmic meadow where constellation animals grazed on comet dust and drank from streams of milky starlight. She met brave Leo, the wise Swan, and playful twins who danced across the sky.

"You know," Taurus said as they watched aurora paint ribbons across the heavens, "spying on the world from your window is nice, but true magic happens when you step outside and help others. That's the secret to friendship."

When it was time to return, Taurus gave Lily a small, glowing star. She climbed back down the cable bridge, which faded as she touched the grass. The next morning, Lily found a silver patch where stardust had settled, and she kept the glowing star in a special box. From then on, Lily still watched the magical world, but now she looked for ways to be part of it—to help, to explore, and to make friends in the most unexpected places.

And sometimes, if you look carefully at the spring sky, you can still see Taurus winking at the brave little girl who taught him that the best friendships are the ones we reach out and make.
