The Bull Who Hit Baseballs Into Stars

Barnaby was no ordinary bull. While other bulls grazed peacefully in the meadow, Barnaby spent his days watching the children play baseball through the wooden fence. His big brown eyes would light up every time the ball sailed through the air, and his hooves would tap-tap-tap in rhythm with the crack of the bat.

"Someday," Barnaby would whisper to his best friend, Sparky the golden dog. "Someday I'll play too."

Sparky would wag his tail encouragingly, but even she knew bulls didn't play baseball. That is, until the magical afternoon everything changed.

It started when Barnaby discovered something strange growing on the oldest oak tree — a shimmering cable that glowed like moonlight. The cable pulsed and hummed, stretching up into the clouds beyond what eyes could see. Sparky barked excitedly, running circles around the tree.

"Should we?" Barnaby wondered. His heart said yes.

Together, the bull and the dog grasped the magical cable. WHOOSH! Suddenly they were lifted into the sky, traveling higher and higher until they reached the most magnificent place they had ever seen — the Starlight Baseball Field, where the players were made of stardust and the baseballs sparkled like tiny suns.

"Welcome!" called a friendly star-player. "We've been waiting for someone with your swing."

Barnaby couldn't believe it. When it was his turn at bat, he hit the first baseball so hard it turned into a shooting star. The second became a constellation. The third? The third baseball sailed straight up and became the North Star, guiding travelers home for generations to come.

From that day on, Barnaby and Sparky traveled by magic cable whenever the sun set, playing baseball among the stars. And back on Earth, children would point at the night sky and say, "Look! That new star twinkles just like Barnaby's eyes."

The bull who had once only dreamed of baseball had taught everyone an important lesson: Even when others say you can't, your dreams might just take you to the stars — and beyond.
