The Bull Who Fell From Stars

Lily had the most extraordinary hair. It wasn't just curly – it sparkled like tiny stars whenever she laughed. Every morning, her mother would brush it with gentle strokes, and the sparkles would dance around their small cottage like fireflies.

One hot afternoon, Lily sat beneath the ancient palm tree in her backyard. Its rough bark felt comforting against her back, and the long fronds whispered secrets in the breeze. She was reading a book about constellations when she heard something strange.

A snort.

Lily peeked around the palm tree. There, standing in the dappled sunlight, was a magnificent bull. But not an ordinary bull – his coat shimmered like moonlight, and his eyes held the wisdom of a thousand years.

"You can see me," the bull said, his voice warm like honey. "That's rare."

Lily's hair sparkled wildly with excitement. "You're the Taurus constellation, aren't you? The one from my book!"

The bull nodded. "I am. But tonight, I've fallen from my sky home. I need to return before the stars awaken, or I'll be trapped here forever."

Lily stood up, her palm sticky from mango juice. "How can I help?"

The bull lowered his magnificent head. "You must believe in magic, child. Hold onto my horn, and we'll run together."

Lily's heart raced. She'd never been running so fast in her life! As she gripped the bull's golden horn, they shot upward like comets. The wind whistled through her sparkly hair, making it shimmer like a galaxy around them.

They flew past clouds and birds, higher and higher, until the sky turned purple and stars began to twinkle awake.

"There!" The bull pointed with his nose. "My place."

With a gentle push, Lily helped the bull settle back into his constellation. The bull winked at her. "Thank you, child with starry hair. Whenever you need a friend, just look up."

Lily floated back to her palm tree, landing softly in the grass. Her mother called her for dinner, but Lily just smiled and touched her sparkling hair.

Some secrets are too wonderful to tell. But every night, she'd look up at the Taurus constellation and whisper, "Goodnight, friend." And sometimes, just sometimes, a bull's warm snort would answer back.
