The Bull Who Dared to Dream

Barnaby was no ordinary bull. While other bulls on Miller's Farm spent their days chewing grass and sleeping under oak trees, Barnaby spent his days watching the children play baseball in the field next door. His curly black hair would bounce excitedly whenever someone hit a home run.

"Bulls can't play baseball," grumbled Old Thunder, the farm's eldest bull. "You're made for grazing, not games."

But Barnaby couldn't stop dreaming. At night, he'd practice swinging his tail like a bat, imagining the satisfying crack of a ball flying through the air.

One afternoon, a small orange cat named Whiskers appeared at the fence. She'd been watching Barnaby's pretend games for weeks.

"You've got quite a swing there," she meowed. "My human brother forgot his baseball. Want to play for real?"

Barnaby's eyes widened. "But I'm a bull. I don't have hands. And I'm too big."

Whiskers trotted away and returned with something magical—a glowing goldfish in a bowl she carried carefully in her mouth.

"This is Luna," Whiskers explained. "She's a wishing goldfish. One wish, for someone with a pure heart."

Luna swam gracefully, her scales shimmering like tiny stars. "I've been waiting for someone like you, Barnaby. Someone brave enough to dream even when others say no."

Barnaby thought carefully. "I wish for the courage to try, even if I fail."

Luna's glow intensified. When it faded, Barnaby felt lighter than air. He didn't shrink or grow hands—he felt something better. He felt brave.

The children spotted him. Instead of running away, they cheered. "Hey! It's the baseball bull!"

They adapted the game just for him. Barnaby used his nose to bunt, his horns to catch, and his powerful tail to send balls soaring over the fence. His hair danced with joy as he played.

From that day on, Barnaby taught everyone an important lesson: You don't need to change who you are to follow your dreams—you just need the courage to try. And sometimes, the most unexpected friends (like a determined cat and a magical goldfish) help you find that courage inside yourself all along.
