The Bull Who Could Fly

Leo stood at home plate, his baseball bat trembling in his hands. The other kids laughed because he hadn't hit a single ball all season. But today felt different.

Behind the playground fence, an enormous bull named Barnaby munched grass peacefully. Unlike other bulls, Barnaby wore a bright red cap and watched every game with gentle brown eyes.

"You need more than practice," said his friend Maya, dangling her feet above the swimming pool where they cooled off after games. "You need magic."

That afternoon, Leo's mom served him something green and leafy. "Spinach!" he groaned. "But it's full of vitamin power," she winked. "The secret strength of champions."

Leo swallowed it reluctantly, then rushed back to the pool where Barnaby still waited by the fence. Something magical happened—the bull stepped forward, and his hooves left the ground!

"Follow me!" Barnaby seemed to say without speaking, and he floated toward the town pool. Leo and Maya followed, their hearts pounding with wonder.

At the pool's edge, Barnaby touched the water with his nose. Ripples turned into sparkles that filled the air. The bull spoke in a voice like honey: "True strength comes from believing in yourself. The spinach gives you power, but courage makes it work."

Leo gasped. "You mean... I can hit the ball?"

Barnaby nodded. "You always could. You just needed to trust yourself."

The next morning, Leo stepped up to the plate. He remembered Barnaby's words, felt the spinach's vitamin energy flowing through him, and—CRACK! The ball soared over the fence, higher than anyone had ever seen.

From that day on, Leo visited Barnaby after every game, sharing his spinach and stories. And sometimes, just sometimes, the bull would lift his hooves off the ground and fly loops around the baseball field, reminding everyone that the real magic was believing in yourself all along.
