The Bull Who Could Fly

Barnaby was no ordinary bull. While other bulls spent their days charging and snorting, Barnaby spent his days watching the children play baseball from behind the old fence. He dreamed of running bases and hitting home runs, but his hooves were too big and his horns always knocked over the water buckets.

One afternoon, when all the other animals were napping, Barnaby noticed something strange growing near the palm tree behind the barn. It wasn't grass or weeds—it was emerald-green spinach that seemed to shimmer in the sunlight. His friend Luna, a tiny mouse with enormous ears, scurried over.

"That's magical spinach," Luna whispered, her eyes wide. "The garden fairy planted it. One bite gives you your heart's desire."

Barnaby's heart pounded. Could it be true? He took a single leaf and swallowed it whole. Suddenly, he felt lighter than air! His hooves lifted off the ground, and he began to float!

"You're flying!" Luna cheered.

Barnaby swooped over the palm tree, dipping his horns in joy. The baseball diamond below was empty. He landed gently, picked up a bat with his mouth, and hit the ball so far it disappeared into the clouds.

That night, Barnaby returned to the barn with a secret. He wasn't just a bull anymore. He was a baseball-playing miracle. But as the other bulls slept, Barnaby realized something important: the magic spinach had shown him what he could do, but his dreams had always been inside him.

Sometimes, Barnaby thought, the biggest adventures begin with believing in yourself—even without magic spinach.
