The Bull Who Climbed to the Stars
Leo loved his toy bull, Barnaby. Barnaby had golden horns and a painted smile that made Leo feel brave. Every night, Leo whispered stories to Barnaby about adventures they would share.
One evening, as moonlight spilled through the window, Barnaby twitched. His painted eyes blinked!
"Leo!" Barnaby said in a voice like jingling bells. "Tonight we climb the great pyramid in the sky!"
Leo gasped. "But how?"
Barnaby pointed to a shimmering silver cable that had appeared outside their window. It stretched upward, glowing with starlight, connecting their room to something magical above the clouds.
"Hold my tail," Barnaby said. "And bring your padel racket!"
"My padel racket?" Leo asked, grabbing the sports equipment from his closet.
"Trust me!" Barnaby winked.
Together, they stepped onto the magical cable. It felt firm under their feet, like walking on a moonbeam. With every step, Leo's padel racket glowed brighter, lighting their path through the clouds.
Above them loomed a magnificent pyramid made of crystal and starlight. Its sides sparkled with every color Leo had ever seen.
"The Star Pyramid," Barnaby whispered. "Where dreamers leave their wishes."
But the cable stopped just before reaching the top. A wide gap stretched between them and the pyramid's entrance.
"Now your padel racket becomes something special," Barnaby said. "Hit a ball into the sky and believe!"
Leo swung his racket. A ball of pure light shot upward and transformed into a crystal bridge across the gap.
They crossed into the pyramid. Inside, thousands of glowing wishes floated like bubbles. Children's dreams from everywhere — wishes for friendship, for courage, for kindness.
"Your turn," Barnaby said gently.
Leo closed his eyes and made his wish: "I wish for Barnaby to always be my friend, adventure or not."
The wish sparkled and joined the others, turning golden.
When they returned through the cable, dawn was breaking. Barnaby was still again — a toy bull with painted smile. But now, Leo understood: the best adventures aren't about magic cables or star pyramids. They're about friendship, belief, and wishing with your whole heart.
And sometimes, if you wish hard enough, your toy bull just might blink back at you.
