The Bull Who Climbed the Moon Pyramid

Leo loved his ceramic bull, Barnaby. The tiny black figurine sat on his nightstand, its painted eyes watching over him as he slept. One full-moon night, Leo noticed something strange—Barnaby's horns were glowing!

"Come, Leo!" whispered Barnaby, and to Leo's amazement, the bull stood up!

"Where are we going?" Leo asked, scrambling out of bed.

"To the Moon Pyramid!" Barnaby said. "It only appears when the moon is full. Someone needs our help!"

Barnaby led Leo to the backyard, where a shimmering golden pyramid had appeared. Its sides sparkled like morning dew on spider silk. But the pyramid was floating in the air!

"How will we reach it?" Leo wondered.

Barnaby nudged Leo's bicycle with his nose. Then he pointed to an old cable—something Leo's dad used to charge his car—that lay curled on the grass.

"We need that!" Barnaby said.

Leo's fingers tingled as he picked up the cable. Barnaby instructed him to weave it around his bicycle, creating loops and knots. Suddenly, the cable began to glow with rainbow light!

"Hold on tight!" Barnaby called as he leaped onto the handlebars.

The bicycle lifted into the air, carried by the magical cable like invisible hands. Higher and higher they climbed until they reached the floating pyramid. Inside, they found a young moon creature—a silvery being with sad eyes—trapped in a cage of shadows.

"I'm lost," the moon creature said. "I slipped from the moon and cannot return."

Leo knew what to do. He unwound the magical cable from his bicycle and stretched it upward like a shimmering ladder. The moon creature climbed the cable, each rung glowing brighter as tiny hands grasped it.

"Thank you!" the creature called, leaping back toward the moon. "Your kindness has made me brighter!"

As dawn approached, the pyramid faded away. Barnaby and Leo floated back to earth on the cable, which now looked ordinary again. Back in his room, Leo placed Barnaby on his nightstand.

"Will we ever go back?" Leo whispered.

"Whenever someone needs help," Barnaby replied, his painted eyes twinkling. "Kindness always finds a way."

Leo fell asleep with a smile, knowing magic existed in the most unexpected places—even in a ceramic bull, an old cable, and the kindness in his heart.
