The Bull Who Chased Stars

Leo loved his toy bull, Barnaby. The ceramic figurine sat on his nightstand, its golden horns gleaming in the moonlight. But Leo didn't know that Barnaby had a secret.

One night, Leo heard tiny hooves tapping against his nightstand. His eyes popped open. There was Barnaby, stretching his ceramic legs and shaking his golden horns!

"Come with me," the bull whispered. "Tonight's the night we catch falling stars!"

Leo's heart raced with excitement. He grabbed his favorite blanket and followed Barnaby to the window. The bull nodded toward the backyard, where something amazing was happening. Stars were falling from the sky, landing softly on the grass like glowing snowflakes.

"Help me gather them before dawn!" Barnaby said, and he began running across the yard, his tiny hooves making little pitter-patter sounds.

Leo joined him, running barefoot through the cool grass. Together, they collected the fallen stars in Leo's blanket. Each star twinkled and whispered secrets of the galaxy.

"Now we must build the Star Pyramid," Barnaby explained. "It's how we return the magic to the sky."

They carefully stacked the stars, one by one, until they'd created a glowing pyramid that reached almost as high as the oak tree. The pyramid pulsed with light, and Barnaby nodded approvingly.

"The pyramid needs one more thing," the bull said wisely. "A wish from a pure heart."

Leo closed his eyes and made a wish. "I wish that every child could have a friend as wonderful as Barnaby."

The pyramid began to spin, rising into the air. The stars streamed back into the night sky, forming new constellations — including one that looked just like a brave little bull.

Barnaby yawned and curled up on the nightstand, ceramic once more. But as Leo drifted to sleep, he noticed the bull seemed to smile, and his golden horns shone a little brighter than before.

Some magic, Leo learned, comes from the most unexpected places — and the best adventures are the ones you share with friends, big or small.
