The Bull Who Caught Lightning
Emma visited her grandmother's farm every summer. She loved the animals, but her favorite was the old bull named Thunder. He had massive curved horns that seemed to shimmer in the sunlight, and the kindest eyes Emma had ever seen.
One evening, a storm rolled in. Emma stood by the fence, watching Thunder graze peacefully. Suddenly, a bolt of lightning streaked across the dark sky. Emma gasped as the lightning didn't strike the ground - it landed right on Thunder's horns! The bull didn't look scared at all. He looked proud, like he had caught something wonderful.
Emma pulled out her iPhone to take a picture. But when she tapped the screen, something magical happened. The phone glowed bright gold, and when Emma looked at the photo, she could see tiny glowing lights dancing around Thunder's horns.
"Those aren't just lights," Grandma said, appearing beside her with a knowing smile. "Thunder is the keeper of wishes. Every time lightning strikes his horns, he catches someone's dream and keeps it safe until it comes true."
Emma looked at Thunder with new wonder. The bull nodded his massive head, and his horns shimmered brighter than ever.
"Can I see the wishes?" Emma asked.
Grandma helped her zoom in on the iPhone photo. Emma saw tiny sparkles shaped like a puppy, a bicycle, a garden, and even a little girl's drawing of a rainbow. Each light was someone's dream, kept safe in Thunder's care.
That night, Emma made her own wish. She wished that everyone's dreams could come true, just like the ones Thunder protected.
The next morning, Emma found something special by her pillow - a small, lightning-shaped stone that glowed softly. Thunder had sent her a piece of magic to keep.
Emma learned that day that the most powerful magic isn't in phones or lightning bolts. It's in kindness, in protecting others' dreams, and in believing that wishes can come true.
Now, every time Emma visits the farm, she brings Thunder's favorite apples. And sometimes, when storms come, she watches him catch lightning and knows that somewhere, someone's dream is being kept safe until it's ready to bloom.
