The Bull Who Built Pyramids

Leo loved his toy bull. It was small and orange, with tiny horns that curved like crescent moons. Every night, he'd place it on his pillow and whisper, 'Goodnight, Barnaby.'

One Tuesday, something magical happened. Leo placed an orange on his nightstand, right next to Barnaby. The moonlight hit the orange just so, making it glow like a tiny sun. Suddenly, Barnaby twitched. His plastic eyes sparkled.

'Leo,' whispered the bull. 'I have a secret.'

Leo sat up, eyes wide. 'You can talk?'

'Only on nights when the orange moon shines,' Barnaby said. 'Come with me. I have something wonderful to show you.'

The toy bull grew to the size of a real ox, and Leo climbed onto his back. They flew out the window, soaring through the starry sky until they reached Leo's backyard.

There, in the middle of the grass, stood something that hadn't been there before—a pyramid made entirely of oranges!

'I made this for you,' Barnaby said proudly. 'Every full moon, I collect oranges from dreams and build pyramids. Each one holds a special wish.'

Leo gasped. 'What kind of wishes?'

'Wishes for brave children who believe in magic.' Barnaby nudged Leo gently toward the pyramid. 'Choose one orange and make your wish.'

Leo approached the orange pyramid carefully. The scent of citrus filled the air. He selected the biggest orange, bright as a sunset, and closed his eyes.

'I wish that every child could have a friend like you,' Leo said.

The pyramid glowed golden. All the oranges began to float upward, joining the stars as tiny orange lights in the night sky.

'Your wish is granted,' Barnaby said, his voice warm. 'From now on, when children look at the stars and see orange lights, they'll know they have magical friends watching over them.'

They flew back to Leo's room, and Barnaby shrank back into his toy form. The orange on the nightstand had disappeared, but its scent lingered.

Leo fell asleep with Barnaby in his arms, dreaming of orange pyramids and wishing stars.

Now, whenever you see a particularly bright orange star, remember: it's Barnaby and Leo, sharing their magic friendship with the world.
