The Bull's Secret Garden Friend

Lily loved exploring her grandmother's backyard, especially the hidden garden behind the old oak tree. It was there she met Barnaby, a massive brown bull with the gentlest eyes she had ever seen. Barnaby wasn't scary at all—he loved having his ears scratched and would let Lily pat his velvety nose.

One sunny afternoon, Lily discovered something magical. Behind a patch of tall sunflowers grew the most enormous spinach leaves she had ever seen—some were as big as umbrellas! As she reached out to touch one, the ground began to rumble.

Out popped a green creature made entirely of spinach leaves! It had a friendly smile and wiggly leaf arms. "I'm Sprout," it said in a crackly voice. "I'm a spinach zombie!"

Lily gasped. "A zombie? But zombies are scary!"

"Not spinach zombies," Sprout giggled. "We grow in magical gardens to help friends."

Suddenly, Barnaby trotted over, looking sad. His favorite grazing spot had been taken over by prickly weeds, and he couldn't reach the delicious grass anymore.

"I can help!" Sprout announced. The little zombie stretched its leafy arms and whispered to the weeds. To Lily's amazement, the prickly plants gently moved aside, clearing a perfect path for Barnaby. The bull happily munched on the fresh grass, his tail wagging with joy.

"Thank you," Lily said. "I learned something important today—sometimes things that seem different or strange can be the best friends."

Sprout nodded. "And sometimes the bravest friends come in the greenest packages!"

From that day on, Lily visited Barnaby and Sprout every afternoon. They would have adventures together, with the gentle bull carrying them on his back while the spinach zombie made magical flowers bloom wherever they walked. Lily knew that true friendship could be found in the most unexpected places—even in a garden with a bull and a zombie made of spinach.
