The Bull's Secret Game
Emma lived on a farm with cows, chickens, and one very special bull named Barnaby. Barnaby was huge and gentle, with a shiny black coat and eyes that twinkled like stars. But Emma noticed something strange. Every afternoon, Barnaby would sneak behind the old barn with a mysterious racket and ball.
One sunny Saturday, Emma followed quietly. She peeked around the corner and gasped. Barnaby wasn't alone! A rabbit, two squirrels, and a fox were all playing padel together! The bull used his massive racket to hit the ball softly so his smaller friends could return it.
"I know you're there," Barnaby said kindly. Emma stepped out, embarrassed.
"You're a spy!" she exclaimed. "You watch everyone from the hill!" Barnaby nodded. "I'm a friend who keeps this farm safe. Every night, I climb to the top of the hill and watch for predators. The fox? He's not wild anymore - he's my helper."
Emma couldn't believe it. The big scary bull was actually a gentle protector.
"Want to play?" Barnaby asked. Emma spent all afternoon learning padel with her new friends. The fox taught her trick shots. The rabbits cheered. Barnaby let her win.
That night, Emma watched from her window as Barnaby climbed the hill. His silhouette against the moon looked like a guardian angel. The farm bull wasn't just a spy or a friend - he was a hero.
Emma learned that real friends come in all shapes and sizes, even when they're keeping secrets.
