The Bull's Midnight Friend

bullfriendzombiewater

Leo loved staying at his grandmother's farm. Every night, he'd gaze out his window at the old stone **bull** statue in the garden. Its eyes seemed to twinkle under the moonlight.

One magical midnight, Leo heard a soft snort. He peeked outside—and gasped! The stone bull was moving!

"I'm Buster," the bull whispered. "Come with me. I need your help."

Leo, brave and curious, climbed out the window. Buster lowered his mighty horns so Leo could climb onto his back. Together they trotted into the enchanted forest.

"My friend needs us," Buster explained. "But he's... different."

In a moonlit clearing, Leo saw a strange creature shuffling slowly. It looked like a **zombie** from his storybooks—gray, stiff, and stumbling. Leo wanted to run, but Buster gently stopped him.

"Don't be afraid. That's Zephyr. He's a water guardian who's been cursed. He's been away from **water** too long."

Leo's heart softened. The poor creature looked so sad and lonely.

"What can we do?" Leo asked.

"The magic spring!" Buster said. "But it's guarded by riddles."

They found the spring, but a voice echoed: "What flows but cannot be held? What gives life but has none itself?"

"Water!" Leo cried out. "Water flows and gives life to everything!"

The spring bubbled with joy. Leo filled his bucket and rushed back. As the magical water touched Zephyr's gray skin, something miraculous happened.

The zombie-like creature transformed! His dull skin shimmered like moonlight on waves. His stiff movements became graceful as a dancing stream. His sunken eyes sparkled like deep pools.

"Thank you," Zephyr said, his voice now like music. "I was cursed because I forgot my purpose—to share water with those in need. You reminded me that true friends help each other."

From that night on, Leo had three magical friends. Buster carried him on adventures under the stars. Zephyr taught him about the secrets of streams and rivers. And Leo learned the most important lesson of all: never judge someone by how they look on the outside, because magic and friendship can be found in the most unexpected places.

Every full moon, Leo still visits the garden. And if you look closely at the old bull statue, you might see its eyes twinkle—just like it's keeping a wonderful secret.
