The Bull of Orange Falls

Lily had the most extraordinary hair anyone in her village had ever seen. It wasn't just curly—it spiraled and bounced like tiny springs, always moving as if it had a mind of its own. Children would giggle and point, but Lily didn't mind. Her grandmother said her hair was full of magic.

One hot afternoon, Lily followed a mysterious orange butterfly deep into the forest, past the babbling brook and through the whispering trees. She came to a place she'd never seen before—a waterfall that shimmered with an orange glow, as if sunlight had turned liquid.

There, drinking from the orange-tinged water, stood the most beautiful creature Lily had ever seen. It was a bull, but not like the grumpy bulls on Farmer McGregor's farm. This bull's coat sparkled like crushed diamonds, and his eyes held ancient kindness.

"Hello," Lily whispered, not wanting to startle him.

The bull raised his head, water dripping from his velvet nose. "Hello, little one," he replied in a voice like gentle thunder. "I am Clementine, guardian of Orange Falls."

Lily's eyes grew wide. "You can talk!"

"Magic water gives magic gifts," Clementine explained. "But I'm lonely. No one visits because they're afraid."

Lily stepped closer. "I'm not afraid. My grandmother says my hair is full of magic too."

Clementine smiled, and suddenly, the orange water began to rise, forming tiny droplets that danced around them. The droplets arranged themselves into shapes—a fish, a butterfly, a star.

"Your hair IS magic," Clementine said. "It responded to my waterfall. Look!"

Lily looked down to see her curls reaching toward the orange water, glowing softly. She laughed with delight as the bull splashed playfully, sending orange droplets flying like tiny jewels.

From that day on, Lily visited Orange Falls every evening. She learned that Clementine wasn't just magical—he was wise. He taught her that being different was wonderful, that true friends don't judge by appearances, and that magic lives wherever kindness dwells.

The village children soon stopped giggling at Lily's hair, especially when she brought them to meet Clementine. They learned that the world was full of wonders they'd never imagined, if only they were brave enough to look.

And sometimes, if you visit Orange Falls at sunset, you might still see them there—a girl with magical spiraling hair and her best friend, the orange-water bull, splashing in the glowing pool, teaching all who watch that the best magic of all is friendship.
