The Brave Little Zombie
Leo found the old toy zombie hidden under his bed. It wasn't scary at all — it had bright green hair, a purple jacket, and the biggest, friendliest smile Leo had ever seen. "Hello, Zombi!" Leo said, giving the toy a hug. Zombi had been Leo's favorite since he was three, even though Mom said he was too old for toys now.
That afternoon, Leo heard a strange sound coming from the old oak tree in their backyard. He climbed up, Zombi in his pocket, and discovered something amazing — a tiny golden bull no bigger than his hand, trapped in a tangle of old television cable!
The bull's horns sparkled like diamonds. "Please help me," the bull said in a voice like jingle bells. "I'm Ferdinand, and I've been stuck here for three days!"
Leo tried to untangle the cable, but it was wrapped too tight. Then he had an idea. He took Zombi from his pocket. "Zombi has very stretchy arms," Leo told Ferdinand. "Maybe he can help!"
Sure enough, when Leo gently pulled Zombi's arms, they stretched longer and longer! The toy zombie reached into the tangled cable and carefully unwound each piece. Ferdinand watched with wide eyes. "That's the most helpful zombie I've ever seen!" the little bull exclaimed.
Soon, Ferdinand was free. He thanked Leo and Zombi with a magical gift — he touched his golden horns to Zombi's forehead, and suddenly the toy came to life! Zombi blinked, did a little dance, and gave Leo a high-five.
"You helped me even though you didn't have to," Ferdinand said. "That's the bravest thing anyone can do." He flew away on silver wings, leaving Leo with his new best friend.
That night, Leo learned something important: bravery isn't about being big or strong. It's about helping others, even when you're small — and sometimes, even a toy zombie can be the bravest friend of all.
