The Boy With Magic Hair
Leo had the most extraordinary hair in the whole world. Whenever he felt happy, his hair shimmered like sunshine. When he was sad, it turned the color of storm clouds. And when he was excited? It sparkled with every color of the rainbow!
One sunny afternoon, Leo stood in the park with his golden retriever, Barnaby. They were playing baseball — just the two of them. Leo held up his favorite baseball, the one with the star painted on it.
"Ready, Barnaby?" Leo called. His hair was already glimmering with excitement.
Barnaby barked happily and wagged his tail so hard his whole body wiggled.
Leo threw the baseball high into the air. It sailed up, up, up — and then something magical happened. The baseball didn't come down. Instead, it started glowing and hovered in the sky like a tiny golden moon.
"Barnaby, look!" Leo gasped. His hair turned brilliant pink with wonder.
The baseball began to move, floating deeper into the park. Leo and Barnaby started running after it, past the playground and through the meadow. The faster they ran, the more the baseball glowed.
Suddenly, they found themselves in a part of the park Leo had never seen before. Here, the trees were made of candy canes and flowers sang little songs. The magical baseball landed gently in the hands of a tiny fairy no bigger than Leo's thumb.
"You found our Star Ball!" she squeaked happily. "We've been looking for it for a hundred years!"
Leo's hair swirled with all the colors of a sunset. "You can have it," he said with a smile. "But maybe... could we play sometimes?"
The fairy grinned. "Every Tuesday at sunset! Just bring Barnaby — fairies love dogs!"
And that's how Leo became the only human who played magical baseball with fairies. Every Tuesday, you could find him running through the enchanted meadow, his hair sparkling with joy, while Barnaby chased the Star Ball and the fairies cheered.
Some things are too special to keep just for yourself — they're meant to be shared with friends, big and small.
