The Boy Who Found a Golden Pyramid
Timmy loved two things: exploring his backyard and running through the tall grass. But he definitely did NOT love spinach.
One Tuesday afternoon, while running away from his mother's spinach salad, Timmy spotted something glimmering near the old oak tree. He crept closer, his heart beating fast. There, half-buried in the dirt, was a tiny golden pyramid the size of his palm.
"Wow!" Timmy whispered, brushing away the dirt.
The pyramid suddenly crackled with blue light, and a tiny creature popped out! It was a little green dragon with purple wings, no bigger than Timmy's thumb.
"Finally!" said the dragon. "I've been stuck in that pyramid for three hundred years!"
Timmy's eyes went wide. "You're magic!"
"I'm Spark!" The dragon did a flip in the air. "And you're my new best friend! Want to see something amazing?"
Spark flew to Timmy's garden patch and touched a spinach leaf with his snout. POOF! The spinach grew into a magnificent emerald staircase twisting up toward the clouds.
"Last one to the top is a rotten tomato!" Spark zoomed upward.
"Hey, no fair! You can fly!" Timmy laughed, running up the magical spinach stairs.
At the top, they found a whole kingdom made of crystals and starlight. Timmy spent hours running through meadows of singing flowers and dancing with friendly fireflies.
When Spark finally flew Timmy back home, the boy realized something important: sometimes the things you think you hate—like spinach—can lead to the most wonderful adventures. And the best friend might appear when you least expect them.
That night, Timmy actually ate his spinach. After all, you never know when it might turn into something magical.
