The Berry That Taught Bruno to Swim

Bruno was a small bear with a very big problem. While all his friends splashed and played in Silver Creek, Bruno stayed on the grassy bank. He was afraid of swimming.

One sunny morning, Bruno met Luna, a wise old owl with shimmering silver feathers.

"Why so sad, little friend?" Luna asked.

"I want to swim like the others," Bruno admitted, "but the water looks so deep and scary."

Luna smiled. "I know just what you need. Follow me!"

She led Bruno through the whispering forest to a secret clearing filled with glowing orange berries.

"These are Courage Vitamins," Luna explained. "One bite before swimming, and you'll feel brave."

Bruno ate a berry. It tasted sweet and warm, like sunshine on fur.

"Now," said Luna, "let's try swimming together."

To Bruno's surprise, his paws didn't shake. The water didn't look scary anymore. With Luna watching from a branch, Bruno waded in. The cool water felt wonderful! He kicked his legs and discovered he could float. Soon, he was paddling across the creek, laughing with joy.

"The vitamins worked!" Bruno cheered.

Luna twinkled. "Or perhaps you were brave all along, and just needed a friend to believe in you."

Bruno looked at his paws, then at Luna. The real magic wasn't in the berries—it was having someone who cared enough to help.

That afternoon, Bruno taught another shy bear to swim. He didn't need special berries. He just offered friendship and patience.

Sometimes, the bravest thing we can do is try something new. And the strongest magic of all is kindness shared between friends.
