The Bear Who Spied on Sunshine

Bruno was no ordinary bear. While other bears spent their days fishing for salmon or scratching their backs on rough pine trees, Bruno had a secret job. He was the forest's very first animal spy.

Every morning, Bruno would climb to the top of the tallest oak tree and peek through his special wooden spyglass (which was really just a hollow branch with a polished stone at the end). He watched over the forest creatures, making sure everyone was safe and happy.

One sunny afternoon, while spying on a family of ducks, Bruno spotted something unusual. A small hedgehog named Lily was sitting by herself under a mushroom, looking very sad indeed.

Bruno climbed down quietly and approached her. "What's wrong, little one?"

"I don't have any friends to play with," Lily sniffled. "Everyone says I'm too prickly to hug."

Bruno's heart melted. He sat down beside her. "Well, I'm not afraid of a few prickles!"

From that day on, Bruno and Lily were the best of friends. They played hide-and-seek among the ferns, shared berries, and told each other stories under the stars.

But one day, Lily fell ill. She couldn't play anymore. Bruno was worried.

"My grandmother told me about magic vitamin berries that grow on the mountain peak," Bruno whispered. "They can make anyone strong again!"

So the brave bear and his hedgehog friend climbed all the way up the mountain. They found the glowing orange berries, and after Lily ate one, she felt better instantly!

Bruno realized that being a spy wasn't just about watching from afar. The best way to protect the forest was to make real friends and help each other. And that's exactly what he did.
