The Bear Who Saved the Pyramid
Leo loved his stuffed bear Barnaby more than anything in the world. Barnaby had soft brown fur, a shiny black nose, and one ear that flopped over when Leo hugged him tight. Every night, Leo whispered secrets to Barnaby before falling asleep.
One full-moon night, Leo woke to see Barnaby glowing with golden light! The little bear wiggled his paws and stretched. "Come with me, Leo!" Barnaby squeaked. "The Magic Pyramid needs our help!"
Leo held Barnaby's paw as they floated through his window, past stars that twinkled like tiny lanterns. Below them lay a beautiful golden pyramid that sparkled like honey in the moonlight. But something was wrong. A sleepy zombie named Zee was stumbling around the pyramid's entrance, looking confused.
"I didn't mean to cause trouble," Zee said sadly. "I'm just looking for my lost teddy bear. He wandered into this pyramid days ago."
Barnaby's nose wiggled. "The Magic Pyramid is filled with ancient toys that children lost hundreds of years ago. Zee's bear is probably trapped inside! But the pyramid's entrance is sealed by magic—it only opens for someone with a kind heart."
Leo stepped forward bravely. "I'll help you find your bear, Zee! Everyone deserves their best friend."
The pyramid's golden doors swung open with a whoosh! Inside, toys from long ago filled every room—wooden soldiers, porcelain dolls, tin cars. There, sitting all alone on a velvet pillow, was Zee's teddy bear!
Zee hugged his bear tight. "Thank you! You're both so kind!" He wasn't scary at all—he was just lonely.
Barnaby whispered to Leo, "Real magic isn't about spells or potions. It's about helping others, even when they seem different from you."
As the first morning birds began to sing, Leo and Barnaby floated back to Leo's room. Barnaby was just a stuffed bear again, but Leo knew the truth. Sometimes, the most wonderful adventures happen when you open your heart to someone who needs a friend—even if they're a zombie looking for his teddy bear.
