The Bear Who Saved the Moonlight Zombie
In the deepest part of the Whispering Woods lived a gentle bear named Barnaby. Unlike other bears who liked to sleep all day, Barnaby loved exploring. Every morning, he would pack his favorite snack—a basket of glowing rainbow berries that his grandmother said were nature's special vitamin.
One evening, as the sun painted the sky purple, Barnaby heard a strange groan. "Ooooh..." It wasn't scary, just sad. Curious, Barnaby followed the sound to a hidden clearing where he saw the most unusual creature.
It was a zombie—but not the kind from scary stories. This was a Moonlight Zombie, made entirely of soft silver moonlight! It moved very slowly, like honey dripping from a spoon, and its eyes twinkled like dim stars.
"Hello there," said Barnaby kindly. "What's wrong?"
The Moonlight Zombie sighed, and little puffs of glitter floated out. "I'm fading away. I haven't had any moonlight vitamins in weeks. The clouds have blocked every full moon."
Barnaby's heart squeezed with sympathy. "I have something that might help!" He dumped out his rainbow berries. "These are full of sunshine vitamins. Maybe they'll work?"
The zombie nibbled one berry, and suddenly its leg sparkled brighter! It ate another, and its arm glowed! Soon, the zombie was dancing around the clearing, shimmering like a disco ball.
"Thank you!" the Moonlight Zombie cheered. "Will you be my friend?"
"Always," Barnaby smiled.
And so, every cloudy night, Barnaby brought rainbow berries to his new friend. Together they discovered something magical: sunshine and moonlight mixed together created the most beautiful rainbow anyone had ever seen. They painted it across the sky whenever it rained, reminding everyone that friendship is the brightest light of all.
