The Bear Who Dreamed of Pyramids

Barnaby was no ordinary bear. Oh, he looked ordinary enough with his fluffy brown fur and round black nose, but inside, he held extraordinary dreams.

Every night, Barnaby dreamed of a golden pyramid that shimmered like captured sunlight. In his dreams, the pyramid called to him, whispering secrets of magic and wonder.

"I'm looking for the golden pyramid," Barnaby told her. "Will you come with me?"

"A zombie!" Lily gasped.

"Please," said the zombie softly. "Don't be afraid. I'm Zed, and I've been guarding this pyramid for three hundred years. Everyone runs away before they can see I'm friendly."

Barnaby's heart went out to him. "Being lonely is the hardest thing," he said gently. "Would you like to come with us instead?"

Zed's eyes widened. "Really? You'd be my friend?"

"Really," said Lily, taking Zed's hand.

That day, something magical happened. The pyramid's golden light wrapped around them, and they all understood the true secret: the greatest treasure wasn't gold or wishes granted—it was friendship found in the most unexpected places.
