The Bear Who Discovered Rainbow Fruit

Barnaby was a small brown bear with a very big problem. While all his friends were splashing and playing in the sparkling Blueberry Stream, Barnaby sat on the grassy bank, too afraid to join them. Every day, he watched the other bears laugh and dive through the water's shimmering surface.

"I wish I could be brave like them," Barnaby sighed, munching on his lunch. Every single day, his mother packed him the same thing: a big pile of green spinach. "Spinach makes you strong," she always said.

One afternoon, while the other bears were swimming, Barnaby heard a tiny voice. "You look lonely."

A colorful parrot named Pepe perched beside him. "I'm scared of the water," Barnaby admitted.

Pepe flew to a nearby tree and returned with something bright and round. "Try this." It was an orange! Barnaby had never seen anything like it. When he bit into it, sweet juice burst into his mouth. "It's like sunshine!"

"Now try this," Pepe said, dropping a soft, yellow-orange fruit. It was a papaya, and Barnaby's eyes grew wide. "This is even better than spinach!"

Pepe laughed. "The secret is being brave enough to try new things. Like swimming!"

Barnaby looked at the sparkling stream, then back at his new friend. The orange and papaya had made him feel adventurous. "Will you stay with me?"

Together, they waded into the water. Barnaby's heart raced, but with Pepe cheering from above, he kicked his legs and paddled his paws. Soon, he was swimming! The other bears clapped and welcomed him to play.

That evening, Barnaby swam home with a belly full of rainbow fruits and a heart full of courage. He learned that sometimes the scariest things lead to the most wonderful discoveries.
