The Bear Who Chased the Sun
In a forest filled with tall green trees and whispering streams, there lived a young bear named Bumble. Bumble was different from other bears. While his brothers and sisters slept through the sunny days, Bumble loved to wake up early and watch the sunrise paint the sky.
One morning, something magical happened. As Bumble sat on his favorite rock, a tiny piece of the morning sun broke loose and tumbled down toward the forest. It wasn't hot or scary—it was a glowing orange spark that danced like a firefly.
"Oh no!" squeaked the little spark, landing softly on a fern. "I fell from my job! I help make the sunrise beautiful, and now I'm stuck!"
Bumble's eyes grew wide. "I can help you!" he promised. "But I've never climbed that high before."
The orange spark twinkled. "You just have to start running. Follow where the light leads!"
So Bumble began running—paw over paw, faster than he'd ever run before. Over mossy logs he ran, past bubbling creeks, through fields of morning glories. The orange spark floated ahead, leaving a trail of shimmering light like breadcrumbs.
Along the way, other forest creatures joined them. A rabbit who knew the best paths, a bird who could scout ahead, even a slow turtle who carried water for thirsty runners. They became a team, running together toward the highest peak.
When they finally reached the mountaintop, panting and tired but proud, Bumble carefully lifted the orange spark toward the sky. It drifted upward, glowing brighter and brighter, until POP! It burst into a thousand tiny sparkles that joined the sunrise, making it more beautiful than ever.
"Thank you, Bumble!" the sunrise seemed to whisper. "You didn't just run—you brought friends along. And that's the brightest light of all."
From that day on, Bumble woke up every morning to watch the sunrise. Sometimes, he thought he could see his orange spark twinkling back at him. He had learned something wonderful: running toward your dreams is better when you bring friends along, and even the smallest bear can do big, magical things if they're brave enough to take that first running step.
