The Bear Who Chased Lightning

In a cozy forest cottage lived Bruno, a small brown bear with a very big problem. He was afraid of thunder storms. Every time dark clouds gathered, Bruno would hide under his bed with his paws over his ears.

One sunny afternoon, Bruno's friend Lily the rabbit hopped by with a basket. "Try this spinach!" she said. "My grandma says the emerald leaves from the moon garden give brave dreams."

Bruno trusted Lily, so he ate the shiny green spinach. That night, as he slept, something magical happened. He dreamed of dancing among the stars, leaving trails of sparkling light wherever he stepped.

The next day, Bruno discovered something wonderful. When he sneezed, tiny bolts of lightning shot from his nose—not scary lightning, but gentle, glowing ribbons that made the other animals gasp with delight.

"This is amazing!" chirped a blue jay. "You're the first bear who can make his own lightning!"

But that evening, a terrible storm rolled over the forest. Rain poured down, and the real thunder cracked so loudly that all the little animals huddled together, shaking with fear. Even the brave owls hid.

Bruno's heart raced. The storm lightning flashed, striking too close to home. Suddenly, he remembered his dream and the magical spinach. He wasn't just Bruno anymore. He could be the bear who made the lightning gentle.

The little bear climbed to the highest hill and concentrated hard. His nose tingled, and out came his special lightning—soft, warm ribbons of light that wrapped around the scary storm clouds. They didn't destroy; they soothed. The real thunder softened to a gentle rumble, like a sleeping giant's snore.

Down in the valley, all the animals cheered. Bruno had faced his biggest fear and turned it into something beautiful. From that day on, whenever storms came, the forest animals didn't hide. They gathered on Bruno's hill to watch their friend make peace with the lightning, proving that even the scariest things can become magical when you have courage and good friends.
