The Bear Who Caught Lightning

Barnaby was a small bear with very big dreams. Every morning, he would go running through the Whispering Woods, his paws padding softly on the mossy ground. He loved running more than anything—especially when the sun painted the forest gold.

One stormy afternoon, while hiding in a cave, Barnaby saw something magical. Raindrops fell into a puddle, and inside each drop was a tiny spark of lightning! The little lightning spirits were trapped, swirling in circles.

"Help us!" they squeaked. "We need to reach the Great Water Spirit!"

Barnaby wanted to help, but how? Then he remembered the old padel court behind the waterfall—an ancient game where players hit balls back and forth with racquets. What if he could bounce the lightning drops home?

The young bear took a deep breath and dashed into the rain. His fur crackled with energy as he scooped up a water droplet glowing with lightning. He found a sturdy stick and—SWISH!—sent the droplet flying toward the river.

"One down, many to go!" Barnaby cheered, running faster than ever. He bounced glowing droplet after glowing droplet, each one landing with a happy sparkle in the rushing water.

Suddenly, the clouds parted. A magnificent Water Spirit rose from the river, surrounded by dancing lights.

"Thank you, little bear," she said. "For your kindness and quick paws."

From that day on, whenever Barnaby went running, the trees leaned in to whisper his name. And when storms came, he would smile, knowing his lightning friends were safe and free.

Sometimes, the bravest adventures start with a single act of kindness—even when it's raining!
