The Bear Who Caught Dreams
Lily had the wildest hair in town. It bubbled and bounced like cotton candy, and sometimes, just sometimes, she thought she saw it sparkle.
One afternoon, while playing baseball in her backyard, Lily hit the ball so hard it soared into the sky and didn't come down. She followed it into the woods, where she found something amazing—a thick silver cable stretching from the ground all the way up to the clouds.
A friendly bear with round spectacles was carefully winding the cable like a giant spool of thread.
"Hello!" Lily said, forgetting to be scared. "I'm Lily. What are you doing?"
"I'm Barnaby," the bear smiled. "And I'm fixing the Dream Cable. It delivers happy dreams to children who need them most."
Lily gasped. "That's the most magical thing I've ever heard!"
Barnaby showed her how the cable worked—each strand carried different colored dreams: yellow for adventures, pink for friendship, blue for courage.
"But there's a problem," Barnaby sighed. "Some children's dreams keep getting stuck. They need a special vitamin—the Wonder Vitamin—to help their imagination grow strong enough to receive the magic."
Lily's baseball suddenly tumbled from the sky, landing right at her feet.
"That's it!" Barnaby said. "Your baseball carries the Wonder Vitamin! Every time you play with joy and kindness, it grows stronger."
Lily realized her hair was glowing now, sparkling like tiny stars. She wasn't just a girl with wild hair—she was a Dream Deliverer!
Every day after school, Lily played baseball with extra joy, and Barnaby taught her how to send Wonder Vitamins through the cable to children who had forgotten how to dream big.
Lily learned that the best magic wasn't in spells or potions. It was in playing hard, caring deep, and never letting anyone's imagination fade.
And from that day on, whenever she saw her hair sparkle, Lily knew she had a very important job—and a very magical friend.
