The Bear's Orange Gift

Barnaby was a small bear with very big dreams. While other bears spent their days fishing for salmon in Silver Creek, Barnaby loved exploring the forbidden Orange Grove at the edge of the forest.

One afternoon, he discovered something magical—a perfect orange glowing with inner light. But as he reached for it, he heard crying. A tiny bird had fallen from her nest, her wing bent at an awkward angle.

Barnaby's heart squeezed. Without thinking, he peeled the orange and squeezed its juice onto the bird's injured wing. The golden drops sparkled like tiny stars, and when the bird chirped with joy, her happy tears mixed with the orange juice.

Something amazing happened. The liquid turned into shimmering orange water, bubbling with magic. The bird's wing straightened. She flapped it, then soared into the sky!

"I must help others," Barnaby realized.

He found more oranges and shared them throughout the forest. A sad fox received slices that made orange water when his tears of relief fell. A lonely deer got the last piece, and her grateful cries created streams of glowing orange water that flowed together, forming a magical orange river.

Soon the forest was transformed. Animals who had been hurt or hungry were healed by the orange water. But Barnaby noticed something—the magic only worked when someone's tears of gratitude mixed with the orange juice.

"It's not just the oranges," Barnaby told his friends. "It's the joy of sharing. That's where the real magic lives."

And so Barnaby became known as the bear who brought the orange gift—not just the fruit itself, but the gift of kindness that made ordinary water into something extraordinary.
