The Bear's Orange Baseball Summer
Once there was a young bear named Benny who lived near a sparkling lake. Every day, Benny watched the children play baseball on the grassy shore, his fuzzy face peeking from behind the pine trees. But Benny had a secret problem - he was terrified of water. Even though all the other bears loved swimming, Benny just couldn't make himself get wet.
One hot summer afternoon, something magical happened. An orange rolled down the hill and stopped right at Benny's big furry feet. But this wasn't just any orange - it glowed with golden light! When Benny picked it up, the orange transformed into the most beautiful baseball he had ever seen, with stitching that sparkled like tiny stars.
"Throw me!" whispered the baseball, and Benny was so surprised he did exactly that. The ball sailed through the air and landed - splash! - right in the middle of the lake.
But instead of sinking, the magical baseball started glowing even brighter. Rings of light spread across the water, turning the lake into the most magnificent swimming pool anyone had ever seen. The water sparkled like diamonds, and suddenly Benny didn't feel afraid anymore.
"Come play!" called the children, and to everyone's amazement, Benny jumped right in! He discovered he was actually a wonderful swimmer, and even better - he could play baseball while swimming! The magical orange baseball floated on the surface, and Benny would paddle after it, splashing and playing with his new friends.
That summer, Benny learned something wonderful. Sometimes the things we're most afraid of turn out to be the most fun adventures of all. And the orange baseball? It still glows sometimes, reminding Benny that courage comes in all shapes and sizes - even floating ones.
