The Bear's Midnight Baseball Game

Leo's favorite teddy bear sat on his pillow every night. But one magical evening, when the moon glowed silver through the window, the bear winked!

"Psst! Wake up!" whispered the bear, whose name was Barnaby. "The zombie wants to play baseball!"

Leo rubbed his eyes. Sitting on his bookshelf was his zombie action figure—but now he was moving! The zombie wasn't scary at all. He wore a tiny baseball cap and held a miniature bat.

"I'm Zom-Bob!" the zombie said cheerfully. "Want to play?"

Leo's iPhone suddenly lit up by itself. magical sparkles floated from it like fireflies. A glowing cable snaked across the floor, connecting the phone to something Leo couldn't see.

"Follow me!" Barnaby said, hopping off the bed.

The cable led them out the window and into the night sky, where it became a sparkling path. At the end was a magical baseball diamond made of stardust!

"Who will we play against?" Leo asked.

"The Moon Bears!" said Zom-Bob, pointing to a team of friendly bears who'd floated down from the moon. They looked like Barnaby but wore spacesuits!

Leo's heart raced with excitement. The magical iPhone flew overhead like an umpire, glowing and buzzing with each play. The cable became the base paths—so soft and bouncy!

"You bat first!" Zom-Bob handed Leo a baseball that sparkled like a captured star.

Leo swung with all his might. *CRACK!* The ball flew into the galaxy!

"Home run!" the Moon Bears cheered, dancing in zero gravity.

They played until dawn approached. The zombie high-fived Leo with his green hand. Barnaby hugged him tight. The cable coiled back into the room like a friendly snake.

"Same time next week?" Zom-Bob asked, eyes twinkling.

"Definitely!" Leo beamed.

As the sun peeked through his window, everything was back in place. Barnaby sat on the pillow, Zom-Bob on the shelf. But when Leo touched his baseball glove, he found something magical inside—a tiny piece of stardust that still glowed.

Some adventures happen when you're awake. But the most magical ones happen when you believe in the impossible.
