The Bear's Magical Pyramid
Barnaby the bear loved baseball more than anything. Every afternoon, he'd grab his favorite wooden bat and glove, and trot to the sunny meadow where his animal friends gathered for their favorite game. The rabbits were fast runners, the squirrels could catch anything, and Barnaby? Barnaby could hit the ball farther than anyone.
One cloudy afternoon, Barnaby hit the ball so high it disappeared into the thick forest beyond the meadow. "I'll find it!" he called, racing after it. The ball had led him somewhere new — deep in the woods stood a golden pyramid, glittering with magic.
Inside, Barnaby discovered something amazing. The pyramid was filled with magical baseballs that glowed different colors. Each ball, when touched, showed wonderful visions: green balls showed fields of flowers, blue balls revealed starry skies, purple balls displayed dancing fireflies.
But there was one ball — a rainbow-colored one — that Barnaby couldn't reach. It floated high above him, just out of grasp. He tried everything: jumping, climbing, even using his bat to extend his reach. Nothing worked.
Suddenly, a tiny mouse named Pip appeared from behind a stone. "I can help you reach it," Pip squeaked. "But you must promise to share what you find."
Barnaby nodded. Pip scampered up Barnaby's shoulder, then leaped to grab the rainbow ball. When Pip touched it, the most incredible vision filled the pyramid's walls — all their animal friends playing baseball together under the warm sun, surrounded by colorful flowers, with everyone laughing and having fun.
"That's the best treasure," Barnaby whispered, his heart feeling warm and full. "Not magical balls, but friendship."
From that day on, Barnaby never forgot what he learned. The magical pyramid became their secret meeting place, and every game of baseball felt more special because they played it together.
