The Bear's Magical Match
Bernie was a small brown bear with very big dreams. Every morning, he would peek through the fence at the village padel court, watching children laugh and hit the ball back and forth. How he wished he could play!
One sunny afternoon, Bernie found something extraordinary glowing beneath an old oak tree. It was an orange—the most magnificent, glowing orange he had ever seen! As Bernie touched it, the fruit whispered, "Take me to the padel court, little bear."
Timidly, Bernie carried the magical orange to the court. The children had all gone home, but someone was there. A enormous bull stood alone, holding a padel racquet in his massive hooves. His name was Bruno, and nobody wanted to play with him because he looked so big and scary.
"Would you like to play?" Bruno asked softly, his eyes kind and gentle.
Bernie's heart raced. "Yes! But I've never played before."
"That's okay," Bruno smiled. "I'll teach you."
For hours, Bernie and Bruno played padel together. The magical orange sat on the bench, glowing brighter with every laugh they shared. Bernie discovered that Bruno was the most patient, friendly teacher. Bruno learned that Bernie was quick and clever, returning even the trickiest shots.
When the sun began to set, the orange stopped glowing and became perfectly ordinary.
"It was magic," Bernie whispered. "It brought us together."
"No, Bernie," Bruno said, tossing him the magical orange. "The magic wasn't the fruit. The magic was giving someone a chance."
From that day on, Bernie and Bruno played padel every afternoon. The other children soon joined them, realizing that Bruno had always been gentle and kind. And sometimes, when they laughed especially hard, the orange would glow just a little bit—reminding them all that the best magic of all is friendship found in unexpected places.
Moral: Never judge someone by how they look. The best friends often come in the most surprising packages.
