The Bear's Glowing Hair

Lily loved hiking with her fluffy orange cat, Mango. One sunny afternoon, while exploring the Whispering Woods, Mango suddenly started running toward a cluster of ancient oak trees.

"Mango! Wait!" Lily called, chasing after her cat.

Behind the largest tree, they found something amazing—a great brown bear sitting on a mossy rock, weeping into his enormous paws. But this wasn't just any bear. His shaggy hair shimmered with tiny sparkles, like someone had sprinkled starlight all over him.

"What's wrong?" Lily asked bravely.

"My magical hair," the bear sniffled. "Every night, it glows to guide lost animals home. But tonight, it won't shine! I've been running all day, trying to find the Moon Flower that recharges its magic. Without it, I can't help anyone."

Lily's heart went out to him. She thought for a moment, then pulled out her iphone from her pocket. Her dad had told her its flashlight could help in emergencies.

"Maybe this will help!" She turned on the flashlight and pointed it at a nearby cave. Inside, something extraordinary caught the light—a single flower glowing silver, with petals shaped like crescent moons.

"The Moon Flower!" the bear gasped. "You found it!"

Mango the cat purred proudly as if she'd known all along. The bear gently touched the flower, and immediately his beautiful hair began to glow warm golden light, bathing the whole forest in magic.

"Thank you," the bear beamed. "Your light helped me find mine. Now I can help others again."

That night, Lily watched from her window as the bear's glowing hair moved through the forest, guiding a family of lost raccoons home. She learned that sometimes, the smallest light—even from something ordinary—can help others find their own brightness.

And every time she went hiking after that, Mango always ran straight toward their magical friend.
