The Baseball That Flew to Egypt

Leo stared at the green mush on his plate. "I hate spinach!" he declared, pushing it away.

His grandmother smiled mysteriously. "In Egypt, spinach gave warriors the strength to build pyramids."

That afternoon, Leo found his old baseball in the attic. But this wasn't ordinary—it glowed golden! When he threw it, the ball didn't land. Instead, it stretched like a magical cable across the sky.

Curious, Leo grabbed the cable and WHOOSH!

He landed on soft sand beneath towering palm trees. Before him stood a magnificent pyramid, shimmering in the desert sun.

"Welcome, young traveler," said a voice. An old man appeared from behind a palm. "I am Ahmed. You've come from the baseball's magic."

"Where am I?" Leo asked, eyes wide.

"The Pyramid of Dreams," Ahmed said. "Inside, children discover their hidden strengths."

They entered the pyramid, where crystals twinkled like stars. In the center sat a plate of fresh green leaves.

"Spinach?" Leo wrinkled his nose.

"Not just any spinach," Ahmed winked. "One bite, and you'll understand its magic."

Bravely, Leo tried it. Crunch! His body tingled with energy. Suddenly, he could see shimmering threads connecting everything—the palm trees to the earth, the pyramid blocks to each other, even the baseball's glowing path home.

"Everything is connected," Ahmed whispered. "Even the things you think you don't like might hold unexpected magic."

When Leo returned home, the baseball sat on his bed, now ordinary again. But at dinner, when he ate his spinach, he imagined the pyramid's glow and felt that same spark of magic.

"Grandma," Leo grinned, "I think spinach might be pretty special after all."

His grandmother just smiled. "The baseball knows," she said mysteriously. "The baseball always knows."
