The Baseball That Climbed the Magic Pyramid

Olly's favorite orange baseball sat on his windowsill, glowing softly in the moonlight. Every night, he wished the same wish: 'I want to go on an adventure.'

One evening, a silver cable uncurled itself from the stars and dangled right outside Olly's window. It shimmered like stardust, humming with a mysterious tune. Olly's heart raced as he realized—this was his adventure calling!

He grabbed his orange baseball, slipped on his slippers, and climbed onto the cable. Up, up, up he went, floating through clouds that tasted like cotton candy and starlight. The cable carried him higher than any airplane, past birds fast asleep in their nests.

Suddenly, the cable stopped at a magnificent pyramid floating in the sky. Its sides sparkled with colors that changed every time Olly blinked—pink to blue, green to gold, purple to silver!

A tiny dragon with emerald scales peeked from the pyramid's entrance. 'Hello, friend!' she squeaked. 'I've been waiting for someone brave enough to climb the sky cable.'

Olly stepped inside and gasped. The pyramid was filled with swimming pools of every color imaginable—red, yellow, green, and pools that swirled like rainbows. But the dragon looked sadly at the empty pools.

'No one knows how to swim anymore,' she sighed. 'My grandfather built these magical pools for children to splash and play, but they've forgotten the joy of water.'

Olly's eyes lit up. 'I can help! Back home, I'm the best swimmer in my class.'

He dove into the orange pool (his favorite color!). The water felt like warm sunshine and giggles. He showed the dragon how to float, kick, and blow bubbles. Soon, other sky creatures appeared—moon rabbits, star turtles, cloud kittens—all wanting to learn.

They swam and splashed until the pyramid echoed with laughter. The dragon beamed. 'You've reminded us that the best adventures are the ones we share!'

As morning approached, the silver cable reappeared. Olly hugged his new friend. 'Will I ever see you again?'

The dragon pressed a small crystal into his hand. 'Whenever you hold this and believe, magic will find you.'

Olly climbed down, his orange baseball tucked safely in his pocket. As he curled back in bed, he noticed the crystal glowing softly. The adventure wasn't over—it had only just begun.

And sometimes, when no one was watching, Olly's orange baseball would roll across the floor by itself, as if dancing to a song only it could hear.
