The Baseball Pyramid
Leo loved baseball more than anything. Every day after school, he'd practice his swing in the backyard, dreaming of hitting the perfect home run.
One hot afternoon, Leo's baseball glowed with golden light. When he tossed it into the air, something amazing happened. The ball didn't come down. Instead, it kept rising, higher and higher, until it burst into a thousand sparkling stars that swirled together to form a shimmering golden pyramid right in his backyard!
"Wow!" Leo whispered, his eyes wide with wonder.
From behind the pyramid stepped a boy his age, but with sparkling silver hair and skin that shimmered like moonlight. "Hello, Leo! I've been waiting for you."
"Who are you?" Leo asked, clutching his bat.
"I'm Orion, and I'm your friend from the Star Realm," the boy said with a warm smile. "Your baseball opened a door between our worlds. But now we must run! The pyramid will only stay open for ten minutes!"
"Where are we going?" Leo asked as Orion grabbed his hand.
"To the Field of Dreams!" Orion said. "Every child who truly loves baseball gets one chance to play there - where the bases are clouds and the ball is a comet!"
Together they went running through the golden pyramid, which was actually a magical portal. On the other side, Leo gasped. The sky was purple with three moons, and the baseball field stretched endlessly into the stars.
Orion handed Leo a glowing bat. "Your pitch is coming!"
A comet streaked toward Leo. He swung with all his heart, and the comet soared through all three moons!
"HOME RUN!" Orion cheered. "You did it, Leo!"
The pyramid began to fade. "Will I ever see you again?" Leo asked.
"Whenever you play with true joy, our worlds connect," Orion said. "That's the secret magic of baseball - it's not about winning, but about loving the game!"
Leo woke up in his backyard, the golden pyramid gone. But in his pocket sat a silver baseball that glowed whenever he needed a friend.
From that day on, Leo played every game with joy in his heart, knowing that somewhere beyond the stars, Orion was cheering for him too.
