The Baseball Game in the Magic Garden

Lily loved her backyard. It wasn't just any backyard – it was a place where magic happened every day. But today, something extraordinary was about to unfold.

Lily was playing baseball by herself, hitting the ball against the old wooden fence. *Whack!* The ball flew high and landed somewhere she couldn't see. When she went to find it, she discovered something amazing.

Behind the tall sunflowers, there was a creature she had never seen before. He looked a bit like a boy, but his skin was as green as fresh grass, and he moved in a funny, wobbly way. He was trying to pick up her baseball, but his hands kept missing it.

"Are you a zombie?" Lily asked, remembering the scary stories her older brother told.

The green boy shook his head. "No zombie," he said slowly. "I'm Zimble from the Magic Garden. I'm just learning how to be in this world."

Zimble explained that he had come through a secret door between worlds. He was supposed to learn about human friendship before he could return home. Lily's baseball had landed right next to him.

"I can teach you about friendship!" Lily said excitedly. "And baseball!"

All afternoon, Lily taught Zimble how to play. At first, Zimble couldn't hold the bat properly, and the ball kept rolling away. But Lily was patient. She showed him how to stand, how to swing, and how to run the bases.

"Friendship means helping each other," Lily explained when Zimble tripped and fell. She helped him up and brushed off his green knees.

By sunset, Zimble hit his first home run! He danced a wobbly happy dance, and Lily clapped and cheered.

"Thank you, Lily," Zimble said, his green eyes shining. "You taught me that friendship is about patience, kindness, and never giving up on each other."

As the moon rose, Zimble had to return to his world. But before he left, he gave Lily a special gift – a tiny magic baseball that would always glow when true friendship was near.

Lily waved goodbye, knowing she had made the best friend ever, even if he was a little bit wobbly and very, very green.
