Spark and the Lightning Cable
Spark was a small golden dog with a big dream - he wanted to learn to swim. But every time he approached the pond, his paws would shake and his tail would tuck. The water looked too deep, too dark, too scary.
One stormy afternoon, as thunder rumbled across the sky, Spark noticed something strange. An old cable that lay partly submerged in the pond began to glow whenever lightning flashed. It had been there for years, forgotten by everyone except Spark, who sniffed it cautiously each day.
Curious, Spark approached the edge. Another lightning bolt cracked the sky, and the cable pulsed with golden light, creating a sparkling pathway across the water's surface. It looked like a bridge made of starlight!
Summoning his courage, Spark placed one paw on the glowing cable. To his amazement, it didn't sink - it supported him! The cable had become magical, charged by the storm's energy. Slowly, he stepped out, walking across the shimmering light as if floating on air.
The water below wasn't scary anymore - it was beautiful! He could see fish darting like living rainbows, and the water reflected the lightning in dancing patterns. Spark wasn't afraid; he was enchanted.
Suddenly, the storm's most brilliant lightning bolt struck a nearby tree, and Spark tumbled into the water with a splash! But this time, he didn't panic. His dog paddling instinct kicked in, and he found himself swimming naturally.
The magical cable had shown him that the water was nothing to fear. Spark swam back to shore, proud and happy, knowing that sometimes the scariest storms could lead to the most magical discoveries.
From that day on, Spark became the best swimming dog in the neighborhood, and he would always remember the stormy afternoon when a lightning-charged cable helped him find his courage.
