Ruby's Magic Window
Ruby was a small goldfish with a big dream. She lived in a blue glass bowl on the kitchen counter, but she wanted to see the world beyond her watery home.
One day, something splashed into her bowl. It was smooth and shiny—someone's iPhone had fallen in! Ruby swam closer, and suddenly the screen lit up with pictures of oceans, forests, and mountains.
"Hello?" a voice called. Ruby looked up to see Clementine, a round orange sitting in a fruit bowl nearby. "Is that a magic window?"
"I think so!" Ruby bubbled, her scales shimmering with excitement. Together, they watched videos of golden beaches and colorful coral reefs. Ruby imagined herself swimming among real fish, while Clementine dreamed of rolling down green hills.
"I wish we could explore together," said Ruby, tapping the screen with her nose. The iPhone suddenly showed a map with a glowing path to the backyard pond!
That night, when the house was quiet, Ruby made a plan. She splashed water onto the counter until her bowl tipped just enough. With Clementine rolling beside her, they followed the iPhone's flashlight beam through the house, out the doggy door, and into the garden.
The moon lit their way as they reached the pond. Ruby's eyes grew wide. It was beautiful—lily pads, fireflies, and so much room to swim!
Clementine rolled right to the edge. "Go explore, Ruby! I'll watch from here and tell you everything I see."
Ruby dove into the cool water, discovering a whole world of new friends—tadpoles, frogs, and dragonflies. She swam until sunrise, then returned to her bowl with wonderful stories to share with Clementine.
Every morning, the fish and the orange would chat by the iPhone. Ruby had seen the world, but she learned something too: the best adventures are the ones you share with friends, no matter how different you may be.
