Penny woke up one sunny morning with her bright orange hair standing straight up, like it had been brushed by magic. She giggled as she looked in the mirror. Her hair always did funny things, but today it seemed especially sparkly.

"I've been waiting for someone with orange hair like sunshine," the fox spoke in a voice like rustling leaves. "My name is Finn. The palm tree holds a secret, and only someone with magical hair can help me open it."

Penny reached out carefully. Star licked her hand with a warm, sandpaper tongue, and Penny's heart melted.

"I'll take care of her forever," Penny promised.
