Padel's Great Discovery

Little Padel was no ordinary mouse. He was the smallest spy in Meadowbrook Valley, with ears that twitched at every whisper and eyes that sparkled like morning dew. Every night, while other mice slept, Padel scurried through tall grass, discovering secrets that made his heart race with wonder.

One evening, as orange sunset painted the sky, Padel noticed something strange. Thick black cables snaked through the garden, glistening under moonlight. He'd never seen them before! His nose twitched with curiosity. Following the mysterious cables, he climbed the ancient oak tree that touched the clouds.

Suddenly, lightning crashed—not silver or white, but brilliant orange! Padel ducked, trembling. But then he saw it: the cables weren't just ordinary wires. They were magical threads connecting the sky to the earth, and the orange lightning was dancing along them like glowing rivers of light.

Higher up, a tiny owl named Luna watched Padel with wise amber eyes.

"You've discovered the Dream Cables," Luna hooted softly. "Every night, orange lightning carries children's sweetest dreams from the clouds above down to their sleeping heads. These cables make sure no dream gets lost."

Padel's whiskers quivered with amazement. "But why orange?"

"Orange is the color of warmth and happiness," Luna explained. "It's the perfect color for dreams."

That night, Padel didn't just spy—he helped! When a squirrel's nest threatened to tangle the cables, Padel chewed gently to free them. When a strong wind made the cables sway dangerously, he used his small body to steady them.

By dawn, Padel was exhausted but beaming with pride. He'd protected the Dream Cables, and hundreds of children woke up smiling from beautiful dreams.

"You're not just any spy," Luna said as the sun rose. "You're a Dream Guardian now."

From that night on, little Padel watched over the orange lightning, knowing that even the smallest creatures can do the biggest, most magical things. The other mice wondered why Padel slept all day, but he just winked. Some secrets are too wonderful to tell.
