Padel and the Moonlight Pool

Padel was not like other children. Her hair changed color with her feelings—golden when she was happy, blue when she felt sad, and sparkly pink when she was excited. But Padel tried to keep her feelings small, because she didn't want anyone to notice her magic hair.

One warm summer evening, while following a firefly into the forest, Padel discovered something magical. Hidden behind ancient willow trees was a pool that shimmered like liquid stars, glowing softly even though the moon was hidden behind clouds.

The pool whispered her name.

"Padel... come closer..."

Curious, Padel knelt beside the water. But when she looked at her reflection, she didn't see herself. Instead, the pool showed her something wonderful—a version of herself who wasn't afraid, whose hair blazed like a rainbow because she was embracing all her feelings at once.

"Your hair is magic because feelings are magic," the pool seemed to say. "Why hide who you are?"

Suddenly, Padel heard rustling behind her. It was Milo, the shyest boy in her class, holding a racket and ball.

"I-I saw you come this way," Milo stammered. "Do you want to play padel? I brought my equipment..."

Padel noticed how Milo's hands trembled. He was scared too. But remembering the pool's message, she took a deep breath and let herself feel excited—and just like that, her hair burst into brilliant rainbow colors that lit up the whole clearing.

Milo gasped. "That's AMAZING!"

"Want to see something even more amazing?" Padel grinned, leading him to the magical pool. That night, under the glow of her rainbow hair and the starry pool, two children learned that the best kind of magic isn't hiding what makes you different—it's finding the courage to let it shine.
