Oliver's Secret Mission
Oliver was no ordinary cat. With his bright orange fur and green eyes that twinkled like emeralds, he had a very special job—he was a spy! Not the sneaky kind, but the helpful kind. Every night, while the house slept, Oliver patrolled the garden, watching over his animal friends.
One moonlit evening, Oliver heard a tiny splash. He crept toward the garden pond, where Gloria the goldfish usually swam in happy circles. But tonight, Gloria was hiding behind a lily pad, her golden scales shimmering with fear.
"What's wrong?" Oliver whispered, keeping his orange body low in the grass.
"It's the new neighbor," Gloria bubbled. "A giant bull! He's coming to drink from my pond, and I'm scared he'll swallow me whole!"
Oliver puffed up his chest. "Don't worry, Gloria. I'll investigate!"
The brave orange cat tiptoed across the meadow until he saw the bull. Barnaby was enormous, with horns that curved like crescent moons and a nose ring that caught the starlight. But Oliver noticed something—the bull wasn't charging toward the pond. He was sitting quietly, tears rolling down his big snout.
"Mr. Bull?" Oliver called out softly. "Are you okay?"
Barnaby sniffled. "I'm lost and lonely. I just wanted to make friends, but everyone runs away when they see me. I only came to the pond to look at my reflection and see if I look as scary as everyone says."
Oliver's heart went out to him. "You're not scary, Barnaby. You're just big! Come, I'll introduce you to Gloria."
When Gloria saw Oliver walking beside the gentle bull, she swam closer. Barnaby's eyes lit up at the sight of her shimmering gold scales.
"You're beautiful," Barnaby said. "Like a tiny sunset swimming in the water."
Gloria swam closer. "And you're not scary at all. You're a gentle giant!"
From that night on, Oliver, Gloria, and Barnaby became the best of friends. The orange cat spy learned something important: sometimes the scariest things are just the loneliest, and true friends come in all sizes—even fish, cats, and bulls.
