Oliver's Magical Orange
Oliver was a curious boy who loved exploring the woods behind his house. One rainy afternoon, he spotted something peculiar beneath an old oak tree — an orange that glowed like a tiny moon.
"That's strange," Oliver whispered, picking it up. The orange felt warm, as if it held a secret fire inside.
Suddenly, lightning cracked across the sky. Oliver ducked, but instead of running home, he noticed something amazing. Every time lightning flashed, his orange pulsed brighter. And when rain droplets touched its skin, they turned into sparkling butterflies that danced around him.
"You're magical!" Oliver gasped.
The orange seemed to wiggle in agreement.
That night, a terrible storm hit Oliver's village. Water rose from the river, flooding streets and threatening homes. Lightning struck repeatedly, frightening everyone.
Oliver knew what he had to do. He held his magical orange high and whispered, "Please help!"
The orange glowed brilliantly. Lightning bolts stopped striking randomly and instead hit the orange, which absorbed their power. Then,神奇地, the orange released gentle beams of light that pushed the floodwaters back into the river channel.
The villagers watched in wonder as the water obeyed the orange's glow.
"It's a miracle!" the mayor cried.
When the storm passed, Oliver's orange had turned into an ordinary fruit. But before he could feel sad, the orange rolled from his hand and planted itself in the ground. Within moments, a small sapling sprouted — a tree that would bear magical oranges forever, protecting the village from storms.
Oliver learned that day: true magic isn't about power. It's about using whatever gifts you have to help others. And sometimes, the smallest things — like a simple orange — can hold the greatest wonder of all.
From then on, whenever storms approached, villagers would say, "Don't worry. Oliver's tree is watching over us." And the floods never came again.
